Quartet Project

The Quartet Project, the educational outreach program of Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra, is celebrating its 22nd year as an intense summer chamber music program for advanced string instrumentalists.  Students study chamber music repertoire (quartets, trios, quintets) in addition to orchestral music. Group session topics often include instrument care, musician health and music theory/composition.

Students will participate in rehearsals and coaching Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with faculty artists from the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra.   Students also receive season tickets to the 2018 LSCO summer season.

Students join the LSCO in a public performance on the evening of Thursday, July 19th. The students of Quartet Project present their own concert performance on Friday, July 20th.

Activities will take place on the campus of UMD at the Chester Park Building. Rehearsals and performance with the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra will take place at Weber Hall, UMD Campus.
